“ i think they can be really awkward friends of some sort? like they're both in year four but althea's in her last year. if sirius needs help with his studies then althea could definitely teach him! but i sort of see althea trying to help sirius, even if it means being an annoyance. she's in many social groups so i'm pretty sure she'll help sirius in whatever way she can! like introduce him to her friends, taking him out to gatherings, etc. electric and water go together as well! they could partner up in the danger room and help each other with their powers. and they could partner up and fight crime  but when it comes to romance, althea wouldn't take an interest in him. she won't deny his attractiveness but she just doesn't swing that way. but that doesn't mean sirius can't try! one-sided crushes are always fun, a lil awkwardness here and there *v* but yeee, any ideas? c: | |

but yes i like the idea you threw at it. after all the teasing and bickering maybe the two actually bond and get close, maybe become friends even. althea would probably try to get under her skin as well, try to find out what's wrong with this lil gal owo

oh god yes okay. althea would probably look out for her and shower her with gifts *v* they could go shopping and althea would buy her clothes and give her advice on what to wear and stuff.
but one-sided crushes kill me omg q_q i feel like the danger room is a good place to start. like annie could be watching on the side lines and althea's all like AWW YE WATER B| maybe she could also teach annie how to control her powers better? aaaa
and ye she tutors on occasion, and the classes are free! \o\
so they be in the danger room or in the library for a tutor. maybe they already know each other from before?! or it's the first time meeting? what do you think? c;

gosh, all she wanted was to have a nice day off and go shopping. and it was rare to see her shopping for jewelry as well. but some common thug just had the decency to rob a store. not just any store: the exact same store althea was at. pearls of wisdom. how dare he! ruined a good day. althea was stood with a crowd of witnesses who were at the store with her. she doesn't like crowds. she tried to scoot her way out and into a more quiet place. she found refuge next to the store window but yet again, her day was interrupted. this time by an officer. "oh! hello, riley!" althea said. it had been a while since the two had seen each other, but that could be because of how different they were. riley was a tomboy to say the least. her rough attitude and personality just doesn't click well with althea. "your cliche robber. a guy with a black ski mask...had a gun as well, used it to break the display cases. hmm...nothing else really!" for someone who had just been in a robbery althea didn't look shaken up. to be honest it was just that she was not scared of the robber. she could have used her powers to try and stop him but she didn't take the risk to. but no robber would murder someone while stealing jewelry. or that's what she thought, and she was lucky it didn't get her into trouble. "are you going to catch him?" althea asked. she was curious as to how the police force did things. maybe this wasn't the first time the robber hit a store. althea swiftly fixed her hair and folded her arms, staring at the tough officer. i was sort of thinking she could be a role model of some kind? she could have helped althea with being homo and just being accepted into society. or we could steer in a different direction and have tension cause of althea's powers ;o; althea doesn't do well with jerks so that might be a problem as well.
or maybe riley could steer her into becoming a cop? idk ahaaaa

HOMO althea is the opposite of her parents. she is kind, caring, and generous. if there is a fellow student in need she will not hesitate to offer a helping hand. if there's a student being bullied she will stand up for them and kick the bully's ass. no, she won't do that. she tends to avoid any sort of confrontation for as long as possible. if confrontation is inevitable then she won't be afraid to act, though. she hates violent, but more importantly she hates death. death took maddy away from her, and she doesn't want anyone else to feel the pain she felt.
but despite what she thinks she is, at heart she is a posh girl. she's rich, so what can you expect? she loves dressing nicely, especially in dresses. she rarely wears shorts and always tries to look her best. she loves rich things such as fine dining, wine, the sort. no matter what she says she is a posh girl. but not to the extreme. she just likes the things rich people do.
| LOOKING FOR... •BEST FRIENDS althea seriously lacks in this department. she needs someone she can pour her heart out to and someone who will just be there for her. she'll take you shopping and go do rich things!

IN MY FREE TIME I... •GO SHOPPING a thing that althea likes to do to take her mind off things is to go shopping. she likes dress shopping especially.
•GO SWIMMING althea is pretty fit. she keeps in shape by swimming every week. she feels most comfortable in water and even practices her powers sometimes. her house has a pool in the back so that's where she swims.
YOU CAN FIND ME AT... the MANSION
she spends most of her time on campus. she's normally either in her dorm, the garden, or the library. THE MALL
she likes pretty things that make her feel good. clothes, food, you name it. she usually hangs out at the mall by herself. she shops and dines at this place. the CEMETERY
that is where maddy is buried so that is where you can expect althea to visit the most. she likes to go to her grave and vent her emotions. she goes weekly. FLORAL GARDENS
she likes flowers and nature. you can find both of these at the gardens. she goes there to do her homework or just relax. |

her generosity is what defines her. she will offer help to anyone. not only help, but food, water, money even, she isn't afraid to give it out. her family's rich, so what do they lose, right? rich people should give to the poor more, she thinks. she won't lie, she doesn't volunteer for soup kitchens and similar, but she does donate to charity often.
don't take her open generosity as a sign of stupidity-- she's far from it. she has an iq of 140. she can be very analytical when the time asks for it. she has always been an 'a' grade student and attends most classes. she's a smart girl.

althea had a wonderful childhood filled with joy. well, only if you consider getting anything she wanted to be 'joyful'. her parents were rich, simple as that. they owned a house in the city. her parents both worked overseas most of the time, only coming back for the holidays. she was raised by the maids. one she grew especially close to was named maddy. althea to this day has no idea what her full name was, but she always thought it she was named madeline. maddy would be the one who would take care of her: feed her, take her out, put her to bed. it's safe to say every once in a while althea would accidentally call her 'mum', because that was what maddy was to her.
althea does love her parents, though. she just doesn't share the same bond with them as she does with maddy. maddy was a really generous person who wouldn't hesitate to help others in need. as althea grew up she saw herself becoming a 'mini-maddy'. unlike her parents, she was generous to others.
the discovery of her powers came as a surprise. althea actually discovered her powers when she was eight. she was in the bath and she liked making small waves in the tub with her hands. but her hand was not in the water that time. she was shocked. she never knew she had powers before, neither did she know that her parents were mutants. her parents were so rarely at home that she did not realize that they had powers. and she didn't know of mutants at that time, so she was freaking out. she thought there was something wrong with her. but when she showed maddy what she could do, maddy explained everything to her. it took a while for her to get used to her powers, though.
her parents both attended xavier's school for gifted youngsters. when althea turned twelve she was eligible to join the school. her parents had no objects. maddy was really worried for her. students had a choice to live at home if they wanted to, but althea wanted to live in the dorms on campus. she felt as though it would be a nice change, and if it went bad she could always go back. madder had no say in the matter, but she did agree to it in the end. she even encouraged her.
the school was different from the human school she went to. it was big. the staff were all really kind and accepting. it almost felt better than home. she attended class and learned to control her powers, even improving on it. she was getting really good at it as well until her third year. she was sixteen and had learned that maddy had passed away. she took the news pretty badly. she still attended classes but became much quieter and distant. her mother flew back and tried to comfort her. it worked to an extent where she accepted it and moved on, but her relationship with her mother was still just as bad. althea had no one to share her feelings with anymore. the person who raised her up had just passed away. so from that moment on she vowed to be just as generous as maddy once was: to help when no one else would.
hydrokinesis. althea is able to manipulate water. she can alter the flow of water, form shapes with it, move it, and so on. the things she can do with water is almost limitless. there is a limit to what she can handle, though. an ocean? no way she can handle that. a river? hard, but still possible. the older she gets the more powerful she feels she becomes. when she was young she could only move water in a glass for example, but now she can almost move a swimming pool's amount. she can control water using her mind, hands, and so on.
there is a drawback to using her powers, though. the larger the amount of water the more likely it is for her to injure herself. humans are approximately 60% water, and it is possible for her to end a life. but she won't. with careful guidance from the school she was steered to the path of good and doesn't use her powers for evil. she likes using it, though. | ooc info
