Logan is somewhat blunt and very straightforward with his words and thoughts, he would rather avoid small talk and beating around the bush. Getting straight to the point is the best way to avoid irritating his patience. Skarner can be competitive as a very prideful individual. His pride can also make him seem egotistical. Typically his personality has him acting rather serious but he can loosen up around the right company. As a straight male he can be very flirtatious around women when he wants to be. Logan is also quite the gentlemen when it comes to the ladies, he is not one to be rude or objectify them. He lives for himself as a drifter moving around, but he does honest work in order to make and get what he needs. Though if it comes down to it he can survive pretty well out in the wild, sometimes he even prefers the solitude. He will work for a place to stay, for food to eat or for cigarettes and alcohol both of which he uses to calm his nerves. biography When he was twelve years old his parents were killed by two hired thugs that had come to collect for a loan shark. His parents had dug themselves into a deep grave of debt with no hopes of paying off the man they so eagerly borrowed from. Being an only child, Logan was sent to live with his uncle after who was better off and rather wealthy. His uncle became a much better father figure than his old, drunk dad had ever been. For four years he lived the good life with his uncle by playing sports, going fishing, so on and so forth but when Logan was sixteen his uncle was killed in a mugging for the plastic cards in his wallet. The police had been incompetent and had done little to no public service in tracking down this criminal and murderer. The hatred and need for revenge swelled in Logan and consumed him. This was when his mutant powers awakened. The troubled teen no longer focused on trivial matters of life and just lived it day by day. He no longer took school seriously or anything else, all he wanted to do was get out of there. The first step toward his criminal life came when he learned that a female friend of his had been raped. He personally visited the male responsible and out of blind rage and disgust he utterly crushed the man with his kinetic force, shattering the bones in his limbs and crippling him for life.. From that day on he ran and hid, he lived on the streets. Even though no one ever came for him or accused him of murder, even though there was no investigation or warrant for arrest ever put toward him - he still ran from the life of society. He did end up getting caught for petty thievery when trying to steal some food from a marketplace and for that he did end up doing a little jail time. It would have been easy to break out with his powers but it was a place to sleep and free meals every day. Outside of jail he would just be on the streets again. That was until he was finally found and brought to the Xavier Academy by some other mutants. Over his years there Logan honed his powers and learned more about himself as a person. He dipped into philosophy, something he had always liked in school before his life fell to pieces. With the help of the academy he got his life somewhat back on track, everything came together when he found out that he inherited money from his wealthy uncle that had been mugged and murdered a few years earlier. Using his money, new found knowledge and experience Logan changed his image and style. No longer was he a dirt poor crook scrapping the bottom. Society and a life of moral integrity had let him down at each and every turn. Fate was not fair so instead of following the path that others laid out for him he decided to create his own. He used what money he had inherited to invest and left the academy after his studies to travel and start his life. With his money all locked up in stocks and bonds he takes on jobs that can earn him some quick cash. Most of the time this means hired muscle and/or security which would pay really well with the right client. Sometimes he would also take on construction or warehouse work, jobs with hard labor and long hours but always with a great rate. Sometimes Logan may find himself taking on a steady job as security, or maybe working in a bar or even as a trainer at Xavier's School of the Gifted. After traveling around for a while Logan did find himself coming back to the nostalgic memories of the academy. Since he has a sense for justice he did end up agreeing to being a part of the X-Men, but Logan has his own path. He is not one to commit his entire life and limb to the Xavier school or dream. He will be there on matters that he agrees with and that interest or benefit him. He is an ally of sorts to the school, but not necessarily an enemy to the brotherhood. Logan does see eye to eye on some levels of the brotherhood, but he does owe a lot to the academy and does not mind offering a helping hand to potential mutants struggling with their powers and the path they wish to take in life. He believes in the academy itself, but does not see eye to eye with Xavier's dream due to how corrupt and flawed the humans and their systems can be, he grew up in that nightmare after all. POWERS Kinetic Manipulation - Logan has the power to first absorb, then convert kinetic energy and manipulate it at will. If someone punches him he can absorb all of the kinetic energy behind the punch on impact, thus making it not hurt since all the force behind the blow is negated by his powers. He can then store that power within him and use the energy as he pleases, such as reverting that stored power to his fist for a punch. How strong the punch is would depend on how much kinetic energy he has stored up. If he has just absorbed a normal human's punch then the strength of his punch would be that of his own strength plus the strength behind the punch he just absorbed. So if Logan were to absorb the impact of someone with super strength, or kinetic energy equivalent to getting hit by a train then he could convert and produce that much force behind his blow. How strong his blows are always depends on the strength behind the kinetic energy he has been absorbing. He cannot simply create such strength out of thin air and once he has absorbed kinetic energy he must disperse it somehow for he cannot destroy nor create the energy, just absorb it and convert it. Thus storing energy for too long or too much energy could be very taxing and damaging to his physical body. Another example of his powers is that he could jump off a sky scrapper and be perfectly okay, this is because as soon as his feet hit the ground he absorbs all the kinetic energy from the weight of his body falling and connecting with the surface, thus allowing him to land as if it were nothing but a hop. He can then convert that energy into a powerful blow, or perhaps use it for a super jump. Instead of storing the energy he absorbed from the landing he could immediately convert it outwards and create a shock wave of sorts from where he lands, basically sending the energy bursting outward instead of into the ground. He can also use that stored energy to enhance the kinetic movements of his own body which could give him temporary superhuman feats such as speed, agility and strength. When it comes to getting hit by something he only absorbs the kinetic energy and force behind the moving object. This means if someone thrusts a spear or something sharp at him he could absorb the power behind it, but to get back something sharp he would still get cut up but just not very deep. Also when getting hit by large, heavy objects or those with a lot of momentum he will often find himself bruised. If something is powered by an engine then he cannot stop it in it's tracks by absorbing it's kinetic energy for it has another force driving it forward. For example - if a train were to hit him he could absorb the impact so it would not necessarily hurt him and he may be like a bump for the train, but the train will continue to keep moving which could knock him back. His powers only really work best on physical objects because of this. If someone were to blast a fireball at him he may be able to take some of the force behind it so he is not blasted back, but he would still get burned badly by the flames.
