Max Pierce doesn't have time to deal with things like "adventure" or "excitement". A kid who prefers to spend his days alone reading a book, this shy boy tends to keep to himself rather than go to events that the school might hold. Of course, it doesn't help that this is his first year, nor the fact that his twin sister would be following him. An introvert at heart, Max is more at home when he's blending into the background, rather than standing out in a crowd. Not a fan of making many friends, the boy enjoys studying and helping out those who wish to learn, and likes to take quick swims by himself when nobody is around. Unlike his sister, Miranda, who is outgoing, Max would rather sleep all day and listen to music, though he still cares for her. Even though his love for his twin is strong, he can't help but be embarrassed by any shenanigans she gets herself into, but is unable to fight off the urge to try and protect her all the same. biography Born and raised in a simple home back in England, the British kid had hoped that nobody could find out what he could do. After all, he had discovered it when he was very young, and it had scared him more than anything. After awhile, he began to see the perks of the power, and as he grew older he continued to hide its existence with less care, not realizing that his own twin had the same abilities. It was when she was discovered that his "whole world" crashed before him, his parents confronting him and asking him if he, too, could do the same thing as his sister. After admitting he could, the twins were sent off to Xavier's school "for their own safety", the young boy feeling slightly betrayed as his old home and friends were taken away from him. He only had his twin as they went to their new home and school, all of which he had no intentions of getting friendly with.
