personality
What to speak of the girl that defiantly cuts through her own fate? Her strong will and charisma helped her build an empire through the ages, connections and bonds that begun and still are today. Her intelligence is probably something somewhat inhuman, as time often gives the best observations. The might of someone that has seen much more then any one lifetime is very different then say someone that has seen a harsh life. In fact, the mind, the personality is something that has refined in constant states of awakening and rebirth. Living and living and living and experiencing everything, from joy to sadness, is a constant of life. Elisabeth, as her name currently is, is a strong person. As mentioned, her will is formidable, even beyond stubborn, and the ease of which she charms and leads people is like a well practiced machine. Her mind is sharp, having learned more then one version of a trade in the past and present, often finding herself a wealth of knowledge that can border on godhood. Perhaps that's what she's become, with the constant lives she's lived. Her personality in itself is a strong, morally strong girl that never backs down from a challenge, and has grace, elegance and power at her side. She is a girl whom is smart enough to foil death and eternal rest, and one could easily call her manipulative, empathic and focused. She has build an empire with her own hands, and manages it even now. Perhaps pinpointing her personality itself is difficult, as she ever changes, the influences of her new body and age making her realize more and more about herself. Perhaps she is cold to most, warm to friends. Perhaps she holds an apethetic, disinterested opion towards the world, or she still holds idealistic ideals from her youth. Who knows what really goes on behind this girl's face, in her very mind and soul. After all, the word most would use for her is mysterious, and adaptable. For she always changes, fluid like the very fabric of perception. The traits that follow her were already mentioned, and perhaps there are more, but her actual self has changed in very many facets and always will flow from one situation to another. That is the only way to truly understand this person, is to meet them and see where you stand in her view and understanding. Only then, will one be able to grab a concrete sense of who Elisabeth is. biography stuffies navain - na for ancient, vain for spirit. POWERS All of the powers are to be used with moderation. Awakening is a story only section and thus has no combat application. Assimilation is primarily a story only section, and mostly works as a supporting function. Possession and Trance are combat related, however Possession requires user permission whilst Trance is only suggestive, not absolute. In other words, Awakening and Assimilation are plot related, Possession is mainly plot related and requires an rper's permission to use on them, and Trance is more or less an indirect attack (like Genjutsu in Naruto, or Illusions in general). Hopefully this clears up some questions before they start. Feel free to ask me for more information, I tried to be as concise as I could. Elisabeth's power might seem as several different ones; however, when one has had a long, long time to refine a single ability, one discovers that a single path is never the best of options. Elisabeth began with a minor power: That of Possession. It allowed her to take other's own bodies and use it against them. Then, on her death bed, she learned that her own advanced power had left a heritage in her family, allowing her to perpetually continue her existence via taking over their bodies. Everything but their knowledge and self vanished, leaving her with only their personalities and their understandings to pick through. From there, she began to understand the uses of Awakening and Assimilation, expending her Possession into these two categories. And eventually, over time, she discovered how to use a minor version of Possession, but more in the form of suggestions. And thus, Trance became a fourth branch, but is also the weakest due to having a weakened ideal of her concept, Possession. Where has Awakening only effects her family bloodline, Assimilation, Possession and Trance focus on others. All of these different uses fall under Elisabeth forcing her own ideals, being, thoughts, etc. onto another, either they be living or non-living. Awakening. The first capability. A suitable name for the mutant power that belongs to the one that has lived for ages. However, Elisabeth has not lived through the ages in a physical sense of the word, for her body was not immortal. Rather, it is her soul and mind that are eternal. Originally, her mutant power allowed her to push her own being into another, a way of possession. This capability was suddenly refined, when on her death bed in her original body, she shoved her mind into her mutant daughter of twelve. Her daughter had an ability similar to Elisabeth's, and thus it added onto her own power, growing it. And that's when it began. The cycle of her family and clan. This capability is only passive in nature. Should Elisabeth's current body incur fatal damage, her mind and soul would be automatically yanked to the most suitable mutant of her bloodline. In the case there is no host, her mind and spirit sleep within the bloodline to awaken in another mutant should they arrive. All of her descendants have a higher natural adaptability to being possessed by Elisabeth's spirit. -- Drawbacks: Awakening is a PLOT ONLY ability, and therefore has no use in battle. It cannot be used on any character without permission, and it can only be used on someone of the Camlann bloodline. Due to being a plot only ability, the drawbacks are inconsistent as it depends in which type of plot line Awakening is used. THIS CANNOT BE USED IN COMBAT WHAT SO EVER. NOT EVEN A SMIDGEON. Assimilation. This is a secondary part of her mutant power, following Awakening. Once Elisabeth's being has a suitable host, both the original host being and herself fuse into one, with Elisabeth being the dominant personality. This ensures that any practical knowledge would not be lost, and also to keep the body from breaking down by having two beings inside of it. As such, Elisabeth has several people locked inside of her own self, all of them parts of her, and able to offer their own experiences to her. This also works as a counter trap against other mental mutants, due to the former beings becoming a sort of wall, running interference with any other mental ability. However, Assimilation works not only with Awakening, but with Elisabeth's original Possession. So in theory, she could take over another person, and assimilate their experiences and being into herself. However, this assimilation is only a copy of the other person, as she would not be capable of permanently residing in someone that was not of her own blood. An interesting thing to note, is that Elisabeth's capacity for Assimilation is varied. On Awakening Assimilations, she has an unlimited amount of room, as the host fuses with herself. However, on Possession Assimilation, she has a limited amount of space. What really made her life easier was teh invention of computers, which she could possess and transfer the data she learned onto it in the form of files. However, this has to be done with her own special computer, and within herself, she may only hold about 3 other people. Mainly what she copies are their personality traits, and their memories, along with any knowledge of skills they possess. A good example would be a temperamental musician that has a knack for woodcarving. She would understand all of the theoretical knowledge that they possess and even inherits some of their good and bad traits. However, due to her inability to hold many people, she often uses her personal computer to transfer her knowledge into written format, like text files. But this is only done via Possession of a computer, which is difficult in itself. When writing down the Assimilation, it actually makes it less potent then if she kept their personality within her, since it becomes like reading out of a book, rather then personal experience. So although she has the possibility, she doesn't often make sure of the writing down, preferring to Assimilate very rarely. -- Drawbacks: Assimilation requires a successful Possession or Awakening in order to be used, and is otherwise useless. This ability works relatively similar to the concept of Glen Baskerville from Pandora Hearts. However, in non-Awakening targets, Elisabeth can only make a copy of the person, and takes that with her, leaving the person intact. A failed Assimilation can cause quite a few issues, including some symptoms of Dissociative Identity Disorder if handled improperly. An Assimilation can only be done once per thread, no matter how many successful Possessions or Awakening may happen, due to Elisabeth having to process all of the information given to her mind. It is also suggested that she gets bed rest, due to the mental strain. Possession. The third aspect of Elisabeth's power, and the most important one, for it was the first version of her power. More or less, it allows Elisabeth to take control of a target for a period of time, controlling their actions. This is generally only done on NPC characters, or PC characters that have given permission. This also works on animals, and even objects, as it allows Elisabeth's spirit to travel around and gain more knowledge through observation. It is very hard to spot her possession, as she often assimilates the person in order to act exactly like them, and thus only those that have a mental power have a chance at discovering her, and also resisting her. However, there has been once or twice where a strong will has broken her control, but this is very rare. This requires either bodily contact, such as a hold (a glancing touch will not work.) eye contact or a clear path to the person, as Elisabeth could potentially hurl herself at them. However, this last method is not suggested, due to the high possibility of failing it. -- Drawbacks: Possession is a primarily PLOT DRIVEN ability. It still requires the Player's permission before a successful Possession may take place, as to avoid any godmodding issues. A successful Possession allows Elisabeth to control that person's actions until she leaves, or she is forced out. Being forced out of a Possession will cause mental strain on Elisabeth, dependent on how long she was in the target. 1 - 5 posts will consist of a major migraine, with a moderate level of pain. 6-10 posts will consists of passing out immediately due to pain. 10+ posts will put Elisabeth into a minor coma for a few threads, unless someone can awaken her. This is done because the longer Elisabeth is within someone, the longer she has to take root and settle herself within that form. Failing a Possession also is quite risky, as a single failure enacts the consequences of a broken Possession of 10 posts and more. Also, Possession works in a way that Elisabeth cannot incur fatal damage to the host, as it would immediately break her Possession (think of the Yamanaka Mind Switch from Naruto, it works on very similar principles.) Any damage done to the host during her Possession will give her an equal amount of pain when she removes it. When Possessing an object, it is very much more difficult and risky, due to them being more fragile. Thus if an object where to break during her Possession, the consequences would be like breaking a 10+ post Possession to Elisabeth. Trance. The fourth and last aspect of Elisabeth's power. Following along the line of thought from Possession, this is a more combat refined version of her ability. Trance allows Elisabeth to send her opponents suggestions, commands and visions. More or less, it's a communication from her mind to theirs, thus allowing her to implant ideas and decisions to benefit herself. This requires either bodily contact, such as a hold (a glancing touch will not work.) eye contact, which is similar to Possession and finally another choice is for the person to listen to Elisabeth's words for a time. Generally, the limit of this is at least 1 post. This is still however, up to the person themselves to follow her suggestions or not. She can also make a very pressing suggestion, that makes it hard to think of anything else. However, strong will works to break this relatively easily, so long as the person has a strong sense of self. Otherwise, Elisabeth may have the advantage, but it is not assured. --Drawbacks: Trance is, unlike the other capabilities, not involving Elisabeth's own mental being on such a personal scale. Rather, it is a form of hypnotism and minor suggestion, allowing her to ease some of the drawbacks that she would normally accrue. Breaking a Trance is not as difficult as breaking a Possession, and thus there are little to no consequences to breaking a Trance. However, this makes the relative difficulty of breaking a Trance much, much lower, as such, Trances are needed to be subtle or they will fail. However, even then Trances can be broken relatively easily. It is suggested that Elisabeth only employ about 3 active Trances, as any more would begin to build headaches. At around 5 Trances, she will have a very bad migraine, and at 7 Trances, she may pass out from the pain and deactivate any active Trances. This makes this power useful, but weak as well in it's own ways. The ease of breaking a Trance is capable of being done by anyone, whilst Possession is very selective of whom can break them. | ooc info ☆ NAME Teikoku ☆ OTHER CHARACTERS I have these babies ISSAC CORBIN LILLIANE CARROW in my ovaries ☆ FACE CLAIM ♦ TYPEMOON -- SABER -- ELISABET CAMLANN THIS CHARACTER BELONGS TO TEIKOKU.
