The year is 2015. After a mysterious illness wiped out the lives of countless mutants around the world in the 1970s, including the most powerful telepath that ever lived, Professor Charles Xavier, his best friend, Erik Lehnsherr, formerly known as Magneto, took up the torch and vowed to finish what his best friend had tried to start. Inheriting everything from Charles Xavier, Erik began what has turned into a twenty-five year, and still on-going, journey to search for mutant survivors of the pandemic that swept the world and claimed the lives of mutants and humans alike. In the memory of his dear friend, Erik had begun to rebuild the X-Men, gathering mutants from all corners of the world who want a place to call home, need a place to call home... or desire a place to call home.
