TWO YEARS AGO, A CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION GOING BY THE NAME TEAM IMUM WRECKED CHAOS ACROSS THE LAND, DAMAGING CITIES AND KILLING THOUSANDS OF CITIZENS. While Imum itself has long since been disbanded, however, the region remains broken: entire towns have been laid to waste and the Association struggles to find homes for those who were lucky enough to survive the attempted genocide. Reconstruction trudges on as usual... but with three factions - the Association, the corporations, and the people - each wishing to take the rebuilding of an entire region down opposite paths, how long will it be before Lyeant's last leg gives out permanently?

I am fairly impressed, Mister Blake, that your astounding friendliness has not earned you a knife in your back from the more.. seedy things in life. I'm also quite wrought with temptation to fulfill that condition myself, but keep myself from it because as a mutant, you deserve more then being taken out like a dog. Perhaps I should.. engage myself into temporary activities considering our.. tenous professional bond, more entrenched now that I have officially thrown my dice with the Brotherhood. Perhaps I should also refrain myself from poisoning your tea whenever we happen to meet, despite your overtly cheery attitude. Definitely not the type of person that would interest me otherwise, after all brightness only delays the darkness that much longer.
tl;dr lessa do dis, and I wanna see how this goes. Issac obviously isn't as gung ho as I am, but I think this could turn into hilarious threads, particularly if Just makes a habit of trying to find those embarrassing moments of Issac. Also, suddenly imagining Just as a fusion between the Weasley twins and Flitwick. My brain. xD!
A day, like any other at the clinic. A mutant only clinic, where humans were turned away no matter their needs. Fame came with a price, and that meant even those you thought unworthy would present themselves to you. Humans.. what despicable things. They thought they could pay their way into his services, as sought out they were, but didn't realize their own beastly intents, their own craven depravity deep inside of their souls. All humans felt inferior to mutants, to the powers that one would hold. That was obvious, as several incidents proved it in the minds of his patients.
The pain, the hurt, the damage, the killing. All of these things were the fault of humans, foolish, incapable humans that wanted to destroy what made mutants unique; their powers. Everyone was greedy, wanting more and more power. And they were jealous of powers that were different. That even showed within mutants, particularly human sympathizers. Because they didn't realize that their minds were.. sown with the seeds to hunt down what was different. To fear what was not common place. That instinct was like a cat hunting rats in their breeding seasons, killing the smaller ones. To feel accomplished by murdering those that could not fight back.
That was the nature of humanity in a way. Rather, the brotherhood affiliated male sighed heavily, the weight of his young charge leaving him still heavy on his shoulders. He still missed her, the mother. Her name was forbidden, dangerous. But the clinic was closed and it was nightfall, as he waited for.. well his companions to arrive. Others like minded like himself, he had only officially put in his name.. oh was it yesterday? He had always been in the Shadows. Now he was to meet some of them, perhaps some patients, perhaps some knowing the psychologist.
Whatever it was, they would now meet one of their former backers.. and now a truly full fledged member.
TAG: brotherhood affiliations only WORDS: 0325 NOTES: Only for Brotherhood people. Let's get this show on the road yeah! .w.
a bird in a cage i loved you so i gave you freedom
FRIENDS
Issac doesn't make friends easily by any means. Rather, he makes a load of acquaintances, and just meets plenty of people through his work. The meaning of friends seems very bleak to him since he lost Florence, and admitedly, her husband. Though he'd never say he liked the brash, arrogant, stupid fark anyways. So friends isn't a word that Issac hears, or acknowledges. Plenty of people call him a friend, because he's the type to give services even to acquaintances, but for Issac to consider them a friend.. that person must have known him for years, or stayed within his graces for a good time. In either case, friends are hard to find, due to his solitude, even in the Brotherhood.
ENEMIES
Now this he knows and has lived his entire life with. From his abusive stepfather, to his abandonning mother, to his mutant-scared caretakers, to the bullies at the school for his weird power, to the townsfolk he slaughtered. Business rivals, anti-mutant humans, hell, really just about anything, including a run in with a stalker. Needless to say, Enemies are people that he infinitely knows how to deal with 100% better. He's used to enemies, he's used to people being absolute.. well yeah. So being an enemy of Issac isn't that hard, just be a human, or some loud, obnoxious brat and you're set. Doesn't even have to be that even, enemies are just a way of life for Issac.. so far as he's concerned, everyone's a foe until they can prove themselves a friend.
LOVES
This is about the only way to make Issac laugh heartily. Lovers? Love? What a joke. His only love was Florence, and she died in a house fire with her loving husband and one of her two children. So no, 'Love' isn't a priority in this guy's life. He wouldn't even understand other people's crushes on him what so ever. He's fairly suspicious and paranoid, and if friends is a really hard thing to swallow, love is a thing that will only happen ic, over a long period of time. Considering his demisexuality, the only shot he had is kind of a bunch of ashes now. He does do one night stands when he absolutely feels the need to be close to people sexually, but other wise he can take care of himself, thank you very much. But other then partner lover, getting into his heart is a hard task.. and takes a long time. He does love Florence's child like his own flesh and blood, despite their arguments and her leaving him. But even that will heal with time.. right?
DISLIKES - humans - human sympathizers - loud people - candy - idiocy - crowds
Issac is a very sharp tongued man, nobody would lie about this. The man is very astute and intelligent, picking up on things that several people would sorely detest him for. He's got a firmness of will and self that few can argue with, having a sort of utter faith not only with himself but with what he does. He believes in the potential of only mutants. Despite his sharp tongue and quick insults, the man is one that values those whom do good, and sorts out the weak willed from those that truly desire to remain. He's very well aware of people, and attuned to understanding them, but is very honest in his words and never lies of his true intentions.
Some might call Issac a man of darkness, and he much prefers it that way, being a brooding, grieving, angry man. He doesn't like humans and loves to put them down away from him, and simply chooses to believe in mutant potential. Even though no one would call him friendly one would note a lot less venom in his words towards a fellow mutant, human sympathizer or not. In fact, he believes mutants are the only ones that may be equal, and that powerless humans are a virus feasting upon the crumbs of the world unwilling to see the issues that they bring to themselves.
Needless to say, the different measure of respect in between the mutants and human make people often stare at him in confusion. He has a man that has no problem blaming others, and keeping his true feelings shut away, but also a man that refuses to understand the good in others but those that have earned his trust. Suspicious, and constantly doubting others, he prefers to rot away in his heart's castle then dare to step forward.. making him a coward in emotional issues. However, he seems to hold no fear physically, and this creates a dangerous mix, as a man that fears nothing but himself.
Very little is known about him otherwise, other that he is private and will snap if his solitude and private things are messed with, and that he seems uncannily possessive when something belongs to him.
biography
Issac Cain Corbin was born as the eldest child within his family, to his mother Amelia Marie Corbin and his father, Marcus Abel Kross. However, his father had not married his mother yet at the time, and neither had plans to get married, despite the child being born in between them. His mother was a mutant, and his father a normal human, both wishing to achieve peace. His mother kept her secret in the mutant hating town, raising her first son with tenderness. He took most of his father's features, before he went off to the army.
Eventually his father died in service, but her mother had taken a husband by then, a man by the name Albert Cale Helm, or rather Corbin once they were married. He was a British descended man, and woo'd his mother very well.. before she left her son with a neighbour and left the town. The family he was left with was called the Cadds, and he didn't mind them so much. Their daughter, Florence, was a good person.
And he found out, when they both turned six, that she too was a mutant. The parents were very secretive of it, but gently made enquiries, and sent both children off to a boarding school, one for mutants. They spent several years having fun there, despite being bullied quite often on Issac's part. But it didn't matter, as the boy had too much fun, despite his.. strange power.
He graduated at eighteen, and following Florence, returned to their hometown. He lived with her still, despite her annoying boyfriend, acting the part of uncle to the two kids they had several years later. During that time, he had been doing several trips to a university, getting a degree in psychology. He was a happy man.. at least, until one of the children showed mutant powers, at the age of two. The child had a strong power, and quickly was discovered. The town was disgusted, and attacked the home of Florence and her husband, whilst Issac and the baby were gone to run diagnostics.
The house burnt to the ground, All three occupants had been killed. This sent Issac off in a rage, and he reverted the damn construction near by, flooding the town. He had also reverted the purifed water back to sewage, and watched with eerie satisfaction as it murdered them all. However, before others could arrive and see what happened, he reverted the water once more to it's clean purity. The damn had broken, the town flooded and he safe. Florence's small child was still in his arms. He was merely twenty-two then. He decided to raise her.
During her raising, he opened a mutant-only clinic, working as a doctor there and mainly a psychologist, trying to help people understand and get over their mutant power trauma. He joined the brotherhood as a supporter some time ago, but exactly when, only the leader would know. It is only recently he has officially put himself on the site of mutants, when the girl he raised finally went to the school, leaving him with no more responsibilities to her, as she decided to legally remove herself from his care. He was free to do as he wished.
Such as focus on his hate for humans, that took his beloved Florence away.
POWERS
Reversal. That is the name he gave this power, and possibly the only reason his nickname is something as atrocious as Retro. This power is very simple; it reverts things. This power requires physical contact between him and the object. Reversal works in the fact that Issac will visualize a timeline of 'save points' across the entire being, and he can forcefully activate a former 'save point.'
The save points are done in two manners: Daily, and injury-based. Each day, the body creates a new save point the moment a person wakes up. Issac can see these points as dates, but if he already has a date in mind, he can use that one instead. This is done by speaking the date point that Issac wishes to choose, and the reversal will work itself out within five minutes.
The second type of save point is via injury. Each time one suffers an injury that needs healing, the body saves this as a point. However, this can only be activated if Issac knows of the injury, and as such he needs to speak the date of the injury as well, claiming 'injury' before hand This will let the Reversal know that it intends to force the point of the injury, just before the body begins to heal, and thus has a combat application.
However, Reversal if very, very strong, and therefore Issac cannot use it more then once every 5 posts on living beings, due to the large amount of effort needed to concentrate that power. On inanimate objects, it can be done as frequently as wished, so long as Issac knows what components the object was before, and that it doesn't turn into a living being. Living beings include plants and animals, but not their corpse. If Reversal is used, it is meant to be permanent, except in the case of humans and mutants. However, if enough energy is used, it may become permanent. [Permission is required to make a Reversal Permanent].
Reversal, when dealing with humanoid beings, can be of two types. Psyche and Body. A body reversal is far less damaging then a mental reversal, as the body simply fast grows back when over. However, a mental relearning is done when a psyche Reversal wears off, often causing small bouts of insanity and other psychological issues. Reversal is also capable of being freely used on Issac himself with no limits. However, it cannot reverse his death, but it can push away a grievous wound for an amount of time, before either treatment to save him, or his death occurs. It also cannot revive people, even if he reverts it back to a form of life.. they just lie there, dead, corpses.
