TWO YEARS AGO, A CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION GOING BY THE NAME TEAM IMUM WRECKED CHAOS ACROSS THE LAND, DAMAGING CITIES AND KILLING THOUSANDS OF CITIZENS. While Imum itself has long since been disbanded, however, the region remains broken: entire towns have been laid to waste and the Association struggles to find homes for those who were lucky enough to survive the attempted genocide. Reconstruction trudges on as usual... but with three factions - the Association, the corporations, and the people - each wishing to take the rebuilding of an entire region down opposite paths, how long will it be before Lyeant's last leg gives out permanently?

After a particular incident, Lilliane was up in the library, looking for medical information. Namely anatomy and her body, just to make sure she would understand the full effectiveness of her power. Call it extra study, but the girl was the kind that wanted to understand all of the things she could, and could not do. She was sure her power would become more flexible as she grew stronger, but right now? She had a decent tone, but she wanted to know more. To improve her knowledge into a much, much sharper weapon then she had now. It would be useful, she was sure.
Except, she could not find the section on biology, because she was hopelessly lost in the great library. It was always fun picking one's way through the goshdarn books, but she didn't like being lost for ages. Eventually, she dug out a few books, medical indexes probably, and one sure fire anatomy book, and came out of her two hour search. There, she had enough to start on, right? She wasn't even sure, and she wasn't even aware if anyone was watching her, if they were, because.. well it was hard to think right now in some regards.
Oh right, biology, anatomy, powers. That's what she was doing, as she shook her head to focus, knowing the slight pain up her legs meant she had spent longer then she should have there. Placing herself into one of the squishy armchairs for immediate relief, the girl pulled the books to her, noting that she had, at sometime, picked up a psychological thriller. Novels, they kept sneaking into her hands when she wasn't looking, the sneaky ones. With a grin, she propped open the anatomy book first intending to get some reading done today, barring any interruptions of course.
But since when did a school full of mutants have no interruptions? Never, and she had learned that within the last year, so she didn't expect much in the way of quiet time.. and she was sure something would happen soon. So sure she almost started to count down.

The sun shone upon the grounds of school, glittering over the fountain and warming the Earth with its loving rays. Giving the view outside a last somber, wistful look, Nathan proceeded to enter the library. Much to his dismay, it wasn't much better than the rest of the building. Perhaps it was too naive to wish that maybe the library would be save from the hellish humidity of summer if there was no one in side.
Flopping down on one of the couches by the window, yet also conveniently in the cool shade, Nathan began to flip through his physics textbook. It was quite frustrating for him to admit, but he wasn't doing to well in the subject. Math and numbers just seemed to make his eyes swirl and his mind wander. Unfortunately, the truth of the matter was that it was also essential to learning about his ability. Sometimes the x-student wish he had super intelligence or something, just so he wouldn't have to deal with this.
After merely twenty minutes of getting nothing other than pure confusion on his subject, he opted to search for an easier science book - because obviously, the person who wrote their textbook didn't seem to realize there were stupid people like him out there. Taking a shortcut through the study area, he pass a younger student who like him, seemed to be stuck inside for the day.
To his surprise, there was a slightly cold breeze in the room. Nathan, the curious cat he was, followed the drop in temperature to the source, Squatting down by the girl, he poked her softly in the shoulder as if testing his hypothesis.
"...You're cold." Nathan stated like it explained everything. He was as much in thought as he was jealous considered the possibilities of such an ability. Another curious prod. "Thermokinesis?"

And interruptions were a dime a dozen. However, Lilliane's defensive reflex was anything but nice, as she felt a poke in her shoulder. She ignored the first one, but the second one caused her to turn, growling. She hadn't even heard the male's words and her hand stretched out, inches from his face if he didn't back up. Then with great restraint, she closed her hand and pulled it back, sighing at the male before her. ''Geez, has nobody told you to not try and surprise a mutant? You're lucky I don't panic use my powers, or you'd quite in trouble right now.'' She said, her blue eyes staring at him.
Narrowing them, she closed her book, and then tilted her head. Why did he look.. oh. It was probably the thick snow hat and scarf, and black clothes, and well her body was still feeling cold despite all of that. She never knew how to explain her power, so she shrugged, as if it didn't really matter. ''My name's Lilliane. People call me Nitro. How are you?'' she'd open after a few moments of silence, deciding introducing herself was a good option. Considering how her name would fit with her power, she often found it easier to explain it that way.
Less questions, and less bothering what the heck is your power face. Although the pile of biology and medical books might be a strange sight next to her, considering she had her anatomy one open to blood circulation. She didn't want to start a random convo or something until she had a name, and understood what the heck this guy wanted from her. The First Year let her eyes roam over his body, keeping a mental track of some things, like the way he was standing. With her godfather as a psychologist.. well things like that were habits right?
Arg, she didn't know what to think, she had been focused on reading the books, not people!

Whoops. His lack of attention to her attention was probably something he should have attended to. The girl's reaction ended up being extremely quick, tension thicker than the humidity for a brief second. Although, it seemed that she had caught herself at the last moment, so Nathan wasn't too worried about it... much.
"They say that a lot actually." He admitted quite easily, as if he didn't see the problem in breaking the rules. His eyes were merry and spoke with a mischievous grin. "But where's the fun in that?"
Regardless of how cheerful yet impolite Nathan was, it didn't look like the girl was affect by his incredibly straightforward personality. Unfortunately, that only made the teen want to step on the boundaries even further. Not to be rude, but it was like when you found a stoic cat determined not to play with you - it only makes you want to play with it even more.
The older student, still squatting by her chair, mused over the nickname she was given. "Nitro... gen. Very apt. Nice to meet you, Lily! I'm fine, thanks for asking - a bit hot though, not that you seemed to be bothered by it. Name's Nathan. People call me Nathan, or Nate for short."
Oh, the grin he had. It likely wasn't a good idea to keep teasing the poor girl seeing how she was supposed to be reading. Something he should probably be getting started on as well. Finally, the boy relented and jumped up before disappearing into the aisles. Hopefully, Lilliane didn't have her hopes up of getting rid of the boy, seeing as how he reappeared as quickly as he had left. Dropping his textbooks and possessions on the table, Nathan flopped down on a nearby couch seat with a book in hand.
"Sorry, hope you don't mind me joining you? Studying alone drives me a bit stir crazy sometimes. Plus, you seem like a cool girl, quite literally too."
