ADONIS RADCLIFF
male demisexual mutant Adonis is very lighthearted and playful, although he's a bit 'out there'. He doesn't like other people, specifically humans and although isn't quite one of the brotherhood does consider mutants to be a 'superior race'.

| LOOKING FOR... • (BEST) FRIENDS
• FRENEMIES/RIVALS
• CRUSH - Adonis is demisexual, but I'm still up for a love interest of some sorts going on with him. It'd be cute! Oh, he does also swing both ways.
• GUIDANCE - more like in terms of a parental figure, as Adonis doesn't have one in his life due to the events involving being a mutant. The can be either good or bad influences, as long as they make the cut.
IN MY FREE TIME I... •SING - although he's not actually a singer by occupation, Adonis has a beautiful singing voice. He mainly sings when he's alone though, like in the bathroom.
• EAT JUNK FOOD - I mean, when your cousin is a health freak you start doing things like this more frequently. He mainly likes to do this in front of his cousin. His favorite is candy corn, and its the quickest way to his heart.
• READ FICTION NOVELS - this is mainly from his interest in lore, and getting lost in a good book is fun to do. Probably one of his most peaceful past times.
• SWIM/PLAY BASKETBALL- the only sports he plays really, he decided to take up basketball but his cousin ended up signing him up for swim classes anyways. Swimming is a more hated hobby.

Since he does play sports, he goes to the gym occasionally to practice or just goof around. the library
Where else would you find books at? Its probably one of the best places to avoid people at. the kichen
um um um, food. He likes food, that's all. recreation room
Its an arcade! Its probably the hang-out place for him outside of the library or his room. For obvious reasons. the mall
If he's not there to goof around, he's probably there picking up some new stuff to read, or video games. Though its not that popular of a place for him to go. |

Hi! I just joined the site yesterday, and I decided to take a bit of a look around. I was wondering, since there is technically a base of operations (the school for mutants) for the X-men, maybe there could be some type of board for the Brotherhood's HQ? Some sort of base of operations, and it'll give more of a option for people in the Brotherhood to RP in. As far as I'm aware, by canon in the cartoon/anime there was a place of operations for the Brotherhood as well; although it was more akin to some abandon warehouse.
I also wanted to suggest sub-boards to the accepted section; although it was mainly Mino's idea for this. Perhaps something to distinguish the humans and mutants from each-other, or students, X-men, Brotherhood and "citizens" from each-other? Either way, I feel it might help make browsing profiles easier than to look through a long list (and as far as I'm aware; proboards search engine sucks).
Oh also, outside of boards I was wondering... To add to the census addition talk earlier, maybe a list of "aliases" could be included. Since if you're legit looking for a superhero, or supervillain, or alternate name (like storm, rogue, etc.) it'd be easier to look find out what's taken and what isn't if there was a census for it. Personally, I'd find it awkward if I gave an alias to my character only to find out later that it's been used already/taken. Plus looking through every profile on the site can be tedious work. xD |

- Positive:
✔ By nature, Adonis is a lighthearted trickster. He is very mischievous and playful, loving to cause some trouble but not in the type of way that would hurt someone. No, it is just one of his ways of trying to have some fun, and is above all a coping mechanism. Otherwise, Adonis is rather intelligent, which is shown by the fact that outside of his immaturity, he is quite sophisticated.
✔ Adonis has never been the type of person to reveal his emotions to anybody, being the reserved person he is he’s never really let anybody get that close. However, despite his inability to let people in and show how he’s feeling; he’s incredibly reliable. In fact, one could even say that he’s one of the more sensitive types and as such is rather fragile. He is also adept to reading into others feelings; and knows how to relate.
✔ On top of all that, Adonis’ determination is probably one of his best traits, being sedulous and as a result allows him to think things through with care and at the very least try his hardest to make sure they pull through.
- Negative:
✘ Adonis’ favorite age by far is five, and as a result has gotten into the nasty habit of being a “teaser”. He likes to tease people and jokes around quite often, although he means well about it this habit of his has gotten him into trouble because quite frankly because of it he’s come across as a jerk. What does not help him is the attitude upheld in his language; being uncouth by tongue he very harsh, has a slight attitude and is very rude about it too. He will apologize after if he notices the person is upset, being the sensitive type himself, but regardless the attitude does not sit well on his record.
✘ He really does not like people, and more importantly those who aren’t mutants. Being the cynical type he is; Adonis has a hard time believing mankind isn’t a bunch of selfish dirt bags. As a result, he himself has become rather begrudging and very easily regretful of his own actions.
✘ When it comes to things, especially negativity or his history; Adonis is very avoidant. He has habits of beating around the bush on things that involve him, and it’s hardly often you’ll get him to talk about something that happened to him unless pushed. He’s also rather possessive, not only of his things but of the people close to him. He’s always got a nagging feeling that the people he cares for will leave him at any given chance.
"My life is really ironic, like some sick game made to entertain some sort of divine being when they're bored. Short and simply; my mom and dad hate mutants. Well, not hate, they just believe that a small piece of abnormal genetic code is a death-ridden disease. You know, like how some people treat stupidity or kids thinking there's are "boy cooties" and "girl cooties". I was raised up to believe that way, but really, how can you convince a kid that having superpowers wasn't cool?
"Granted, I was devastated when I found out I was a mutant. My computer monitor exploded right in-front of my face, and then the next hour a phone while talking to a friend of mine, then after that my iPod. It wasn't easy hiding it from them, I nearly let it slip out about five or six times; give or take. They did find out eventually, avoiding them and behaving passive-aggressively was a big mistake on my part. Something happened at school because I couldn't control it. When they fit the pieces together, instead of hating me like I expected the did something worse... I started getting babied, like every second might be my or... Their last.
"I was isolated, save for the ability to still access a computer. I was grateful for that, because while they were desperately trying to "find a cure" for my "sickness" I came across an article. You know, the kind of thing kids don't normally read. But I was pretty desperate myself. The article was talking about a school that had opened that allowed access for mutants to be "taught" about not only basic schooling, but also about their powers.
"Well, that involved about a weak of planning an escape route from my house-turned-prison. I short-circuited my computer's hard-drive to try and keep my browsing history from being access and traced to where I was going, and with a small bag with valuables, snuck out of my house to hunt down the place. I knew the address, it was listed in the article and even if t wasn't it was most certainly on the picture that was taken of the building."
At first glance, it comes across as Electrical Manipulation. This isn't the case, but is often mistaken for it. Adonis is physically incapable of using his abilities unless conditions are met, and can sometimes lead to being erratic and unpredictable (although not entirely lethal) due to his lack of control over it. His abilities are limited also, presumably due to his age. A certain capacity of energy can only be held within his body at a time without physical damage, and if not expelled can lead to self harm or a sudden discharge of electricity akin to a rather large explosion.
After all, being a living battery or live wire doesn't hardly sounds as good on paper as a "human torch". That's what this sub-form is, or Electricity Absorption is anyways.
When he is in control of his powers, however, is a different story. Adonis is only capable of absorbing electricity by touch. If he's shocked or zapped; he can absorb that into his body and utilize it. He is also quite capable of taking electricity from machines, live wires, or batteries. Mostly man-made electricity, as for him it takes significantly less effort than natural currents. He can't touch anything large without overcharge happening, due to his capacity limit. Utilization of the electricity can be "defensively" or offensively. This consists of increasing speed velocity by discharging the electricity from his feet, or making energy bursts from discharged electricity. On top of that, he is capable of redirecting the electricity from his body into another conducting object, in fact he does this subconsciously, causing errors or small explosions in weaker electronic devices or light bulbs.
Due to redirecting electricity, there is the high possibility of him causing small blackouts or large brownouts when he is enraged, due to his lack of control over his abilities.
Because he requires physical contact to activate his abilities, he can't use them if he's in a none-conducting room or is stripped of anything capable of producing electricity outside of small organisms. Since the only thing he can generate, and he only does this subconsciously, from cell discharge, is static electricity. | ooc info
