DAKOTA MASTERS, 17yrs old, 3rd year x-student

friends are a common enough occurrence for dakota. she's really quite sweet and easy to get along with (when she isnt in one of her bad moods at least!!) and so can usually make friends fairly easily. she carries around a pen and notepad to communicate, though, so it might be harder (but certainly not impossible!!) for illiterate characters to form a close friendship with her. anyone who shares her love for music gains immediate brownie points!! her friends would also have to be okay with her A+ snark level, though she is a bit less sassy when she's in a good mood, her sharp words (so to speak) are still present.

dakota having enemies is definitely a possibility, ranging from friendly rivalries to full-blown adversaries. dakota can be very sarcastic and passive-aggressive when she's not feeling the greatest, which can annoy some people. she tends to dislike people who use self-deprecating humor or joke about self harm, so doing either of those will land nearly anyone on her bad side- not necessarily permanently, but it does leave a sour taste in her mouh. she also is, for the most part, pretty moral, so things like committing crimes are a no-no!!

dakota is not actively seeking out romance, but that doesn't mean she isn't interested in it. she is bisexual, and tends to be shy around anyone she might be interested in. dakota has an infatuation with mysterious and enigmatic people, though her fascination with such people can sometimes fade once she figures them out and there's no more puzzle to solve.

DAKOTA MASTERS & ANNIE DUFF – OK DAKOTES AND ANNIE i feel like friendship is sooooo gonna be a thing here! even if dakota is a little older, i'm sure the whole x-student thing gives 'em plenty of basis for interaction y'know? additionally though violins right!! annie really likes music – her ipod is chock-a-block with classical ballet pieces – so TOTAL MASSIVE ENTHUSIASM ABOUT VIOLIN if she found out dakota played. maybe one day they met if dakota was practising in a music room somewhere and annie got SUPER AMAZED BY IT and SUPER ENTHUSIASTIC ABOUT IT, asking endless questions only to intensely apologetic and embarrassed when she realised that dakota was mute. like, “OH NO did i speak too much i'm sorry i thought you would have interrupted me”. an attempt at basis for friendship churned out at 6:30am b/c i feel like there would be nothing for enemies here!? THAT'S THAT!!!

however, annie would be slightly nervous about dakota's snarky side + sour moods... additionally, possibly not pick up on dakota's sarcasm then be very embarrassed about it 8( !! like “OH you were being sarcastic, i'm sorry”, but she wouldn't really be annoyed about it – just wary, y'know? otherwise, would annie's slightly more DAREDEVIL SIDE get sassiness?

also annie might one time ask dakota to teach her to play music or something because CARPE DIEM and turn up to the playing session decked with HARDCORE CHEMICAL GLOVES b/c she's scared of melting the violin...

but omg srsly this is me vomiting ideas!! THERE'S TONS OF OTHER STUFF OUT THERE... but i wanna say friendship because dakota is sweet if she's not in a bad mood and annie is meek enough to put up with some sarkiness – if just apologetic when she doesn't pick up on the witty sarcasm!

OK YES YES I DEFINITELY AGREE ANNIE DUFF AND DAKOTA HAVE A GOOD BASIS FOR INTERACTION!!! and giornevdsklx iorfsdnklfsd THAT SCENARIO IS SO CUTE TBH?? BUT ANYWAYS dakota would be equally excited about annie's ipod full of music tbh?? and then when she found out she liked to dance she'd be like!! yes hello i would like to propose some sort of DUET??!?! LIKE?? BALLET AND VIOLIN?? DAKOTA PLAYS FOR ANNIE TO DANCE TO??! what if this was even a!!! like?? DANGER ROOM THREAD??? OK BUT HEAR ME OUT SO dakota is all into puzzles right.. she'd want to figure out a way for her friend annie to be able to dance like she still wants but also utilize her powers?! SO UM??? DANCING TO DAKOTAS VIOLIN MUSIC WHILE PRACTICING LIKE... DANGER DANCING TBH... dancing in a way that somehow um.. UTILIZES HER POWERS... if that makes sense omg.. yeah...

DAKOTA MASTERS & ANNIE DUFF – excuuuuuuuse me IM GLAD THIS WORKS OUT SO WELL BECAUSE!!! dakota's self-confidence would be a super good influence on annie! that kind of challenge might make her worry to begin with BUT the offer of joining in would work! because she's never really thought about it like thinking she can do things more like... SHE HAS TO DO THEM!! and dakota's confidence in doing things would make her well START TO THINK A LIL HARDER ABOUT THINGS!! dakota is cool beans basically tbqh and im so glad b/c so CUTE

especially her being overjoyed in the music on annie's ipod! because it would just be a lot of excitement going on and annie would indeed be in the state of OVERWHELMIA SHE SO DESIRES :') but good overwhelmia! and gosh the duet i literally DIED when i read that!! it sounds absolutely amazing! annie would turn bright red at the suggestion b/c it would be excited but at the same time so nervous!! MUSIC TO HER PERFORMANCE she would be so honoured but at the same time like “ i don't know if it'll work ever, ever ever, i mean surely it would be a lot of bother you don't mind do you” AND THEN... dancing and utilisation of powers!? THATS SO FASCINATING... i dont know how much annie's en pointe would work with acid (she probably would be quite worried about the combination given that one performance she did that in not turning out so well) BUT THEY COULD GIVE IT A GO BECAUSE. DANGER DANCING. CARPE DIEM. DANGER ROOM SHENANIGANS. PERFECT. PUZZLES PERFECT PERFECT. DANGER DANCING!! I LOVE THE SOUND OF DANGER DANCING!?

"Well, well, well. What do we have here? A snarky person? Oh, how cute."

Dakota. Jaden. A challenge has been born. No doubt would this other girl's snarkiness catch Jaden's attention. She's used to being the snark. Being the one that bites everyone's heads off, makes them feel some sort of way, or her wit gets the best of her and she ends up saying something that could inadvertently cause someone to want to strangle her. But Dakota. Dakota? She is the girl that would make her want to challenge. Dakota plays violin. She has snark. She's adorable. What else could you want?! Serious fliration would be going on here and there would be no game. Jaden loves a girl with bite but she isn't one to be tied down due to her emotional issues. She's a pretty strange girl that is like a puzzle, and she'd find it amusing if Dakota would try to 'solve' her considering that she says that she is a "thousand year old riddle". Besides that, little jam sessions would be cool. Her rocking out on her guitar while mixing it with Dakota's violin.

SERIOUS FLIRTATION FROM JADEN ABADEER OOH HEHE!! dakota would definitely be interested in finding out more about this mysterious fourth year who plays guitar!! the fact they both love music makes it even better!! dakota is sure to sass jaden at first, tho if she becomes enamored with her she'll be all flustered around her AND LITTLE JAM SESSIONS YES TBH THIS NEEDS TO HAPPEN OH though dakota is pretty abysmal at violin tbh and even more so when she gets nervous which she likely would be around jaden eventually so!! i hope jaden is prepared for that!!

Alex and Dakota have to at least know of each other seeing as they are the same age and in the same year. They more than likely attend pretty much the same lessons so maybe good friends. The kind of friends that can cover each other from time to time both having similar morals, Rex hates anyone lying to him. Can't stand it so yeah they seem quite alike.

ooh!! yeah i imagine that being in the same year ALEX RICHARD POWELL and dakota would be in a lot of the same classes and whatnot. and wow they are pretty alike arent they!! they're both pretty sweet (well... at least, sometimes, on dakota's end) and both enjoy a good puzzle!! i bet they could connect pretty well over that! does alex like music at all? dakota adores any kind of music, so that's another thing they could possibly bond over! and ooh alex loves the outdoors doesnt he? dakota loves nature, so i could see them hanging out relaxing on the grounds together on the weekends or during free periods!! what do you think?

It's fine not being good all the time. Rex isn't an angel he just tries to keep himself out of trouble. Fails half the time though. Oh yes he loves the outdoors if you can't find him and its a nice day twelve times out of ten he will be there aha. I can see them leaving for free periods in the grounds going over stuff they didn't get in lesson and just generally being there for each other. xD
